Introduction to Mr.B.Sham Sundara Bhat:

Mr.Bhat stays in mysore and his age is about 43 years. He is a sculptor from pasr 22 years. His art has fetched him many acclaims and awards.. a few to name are Shilpasree Award (1999), Ramson’s kala Pratishtaka Awards (1999 & 2000) and many more; been the winner of DASARA Award during 1990,91,92,93. Sham Sundara Bhat has learnt the art of sculpting from Vediraja Shilpi and S.K.Ramachandra rao, who are his masters in this field.

He studied in the KEN School of art-Bangalore and undergone training from 1976/77 and has also done a 3years course in Chamarajendra Technical Institute-Mysore during 1977-80. His passion for art is so much reflected in his work and in his personality.He works more than 10 hours a day, such is the commitment of this artist. He is very much down to earth personality. Even after his polio attack at the age of 2 he is a legend with strong dedication towards his work! His work has traveled all across the globe. He has sent many of his artifacts to United States, Canada, England and Australia..etc. His work is highly liked and appreciated; he has sent 27 idols to Australia itself!
